Dr. Gina Merritt, a stalwart in development and CEO of NREUV (Northern Real Estate Urban Ventures) has entered into a partnership with airport concessions developer Framont USA to manage concessions for DC area airports Dulles and Reagan. 
In connection with the partnership, NREUV will spearhead business development and community engagement, as well as recruit, select, and train new concessionaires. Central to her role will be working with local minority-owned enterprises, to ensure their offerings are properly integrated into airport retail, and airport guests have the best travel experiences possible. 
The new vertical represents an area of expansion for NREUV, which is primarily known in DC as a long-time affordable and mixed-use developer. Dr. Gina reflected on the significance of the long-term contract. “I am so very excited to be embarking on this project-doing the work we do best, but on a greater scale, with incredible impact. NREUV is looking forward to prioritizing and uplifting local and minority-owned businesses and elevating economic empowerment in such a big way.”
